Yeah, I never meant to be gone, I just couldn't find the time to get back here. Let's see if I can improve on that record (and thanks to you, Crazy, for the calls and card. And thanks to Tery for the email).
Good to see everyone. It has been awhile.
News on my front:
Yes, I'm president of the Houston Women's Flag Football League (10 team league). I was elected vice-president, but the prez up and moved (and resigned), so by our by-laws, I took over. Exhausting work (dear god, women can be impossible to deal with sometimes), but I do love it and we had a good season. It wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. Since I'm a glutton for punishment, I'll be running for re-election.
My job goes well, same stuff...good job with good pay. No complaints.
Writing: My other big time sinkhole. I did another rewrite on the book, and it is now listed at Authorlink.com where it will hopefully catch an agent's eye. All input from professionals (2 authors and the authorlink folks) has been very positive, but the road to getting published is long and slow. I'm working on some query letters and on the second book at the moment.
Random time sink: I'm playing Thief: Deadly Shadows at the moment.
Everything else is good: gf and i have been together for over 4 years, the dog is as great as usual, etc.

I'm almost done with this one, 2 missions left. Makes me want to get the earlier versions. Or get back into FarCry...
